I’m finally moved into my new house, finished unpacking and almost settled. I’ve spent the last week learning the rhythms of the house and neighborhood, learning my place in them.
I’ve let it unfold slowly, trying out new routines each day: Yoga on the balcony, or in the bedroom? Dishes in the evening or in the morning?
The post office (and almost-daily stop when business is going well) was a walk at the old place; now it’s a drive. Same goes for the grocery store, the coffee shop, the library. Planning errands has become a part of my new ritual.
I’m still figuring out how blogging fits in. I suspect posts will be more personal but less frequent. Probably less organized. I hope you enjoy the change.
I just found this blog shortly before your break. Glad to see that you’re back! I also just moved into a new house, and I’m doing much of the same things you are, trying to create new routines.
